Rachin Ravindra | Match Hero: [On his innings] Yeah, it was good. Obviously, we know how good the MI London side is. And for us to put on a performance in our home ground the way we played was fantastic. [On his partnership with Root] I think picking and choosing the times to go and also trusting the way we play. But can probably attest we don't necessarily have the power in terms of the other teams with you guys, so we're just trying to get into good positions, hit the gaps hard and run well, especially those big pockets square. [Surface eased down a little bit?] 100%. And I think it looked pretty nasty early, especially the way those bowlers hit the deck and Salty and Shorty got through it relatively nicely for us and set the platform. It definitely eased out a little bit. [On the caught and bowled] It's nice to catch one in England, to be honest (laughs). Yeah, white ball's a little bit easier to see. It was obviously pleasing that he was going really well, and it was nice to get that breakthrough. [On Lockie Ferguson] Oh, he's incredible. I think obviously the bowling side we had here to defend that total was brilliant. Even Cookie's over and Woakes and Marko to hit the hole, and Lockie to bowl 25 balls (20), or whatever he bowled. I can't remember the figures.. That's incredible on that surface, and got us key wickets at key times.
What an excellent performance by Welsh Fire in the end, defending their total to secure a comfortable win thanks to a brilliant spell from Ferguson, who finished with figures of 4/27. Vince got an early reprieve and went on to make 66, but received little support as the target proved out of reach. Rachin also shone with the ball, claiming the vital wicket of Vince with a stunning caught-and-bowled. MI London needed partnerships in the chase but faltered, while the Welsh Fire bowlers stayed disciplined throughout, led by Ferguson as the wrecker-in-chief.
