Suresh: "India's victory was ensured even if we subtract Jaddu's 100. But Shaw's 100 set up the platform for a biiig score. A MoM is his first match would boost up his confidence levels so much!" - It certainly will. A fantastic find for India, and a great performance by Jaddu as well.

Rahul: "Whom to blame for spoiling Sunday's cricket? India's good bowling or Windies' poor batting?" - Mostly the latter.

Tushar: "For the MoM, heart says Shaw, but mind says Jaddu.."

Harsha Bhogle: In just over a day, the West Indies, sorry the Windies, have been bowled out twice on a perfectly good pitch. Just another illustration of the problems facing our game.

Harsha: "Big Competition for MOM, be it Prithvi Shaw, Kohli, Jadeja, Kuldeep. Who has bigger chances." - Probably between Shaw and Jadeja.

Harsha Bhogle: I like a lot of players in this team. Brathwaite, Hope, Chase, Holder, Gabriel. But like others before them, they are showing a lot of promise but not becoming the players we think they can.

Bandagi: "Is test against WI is more important than multi-nation Asia cup for Kohli?" - Perhaps red-ball cricket in general is given more significance in preparation for Australia.

Harsha Bhogle: The "West Indies" to me signifies so many things. Great players, fast bowlers, charismatic batsmen, great crowds, fun, respect for cricket, no sledging, music..... so much. Guess "Windies" is appropriate now. I still wish the "Windies" can become the "West Indies".

Rishabh: At current scenario the match may well end today. I bought tickets for tomorrow's play as it was Sunday but doesn't seem that I will get to watch tomorrow. -- You might, keep your fingers crossed.

Harsha Bhogle: Guess the West Indies can only do better in the 2nd innings. And to be honest, they have done so a few times.

Pratik: There'e no way this match is going to Day 4!

Gaurav: Pant's wicket keeping skills are still not at par. Saha must be first choice for wicket keeper for Australia. Poor wicket keeper in Australia can be risky, remember Parthiv Patel??

Aakash: India has to do two things before going to Australia. 1. Work on wrapping up lower order quickly 2. Get opening combination right.

Arnab: I must say Kuldeep's length has been extremely poor this morning. Too too full leaking easy runs. He is still not ready for Tests for sure and needs to work more.

Sankar: Windies showing good positive attitude this morning. They are literally bashing Indian bowlers to boundaries. An appreciable temperament from a team who have fallen way behind in this match.

Shridhar: Once again! The lower order starts to trouble India.

Savio: India should not enforce the follow on. More than just registering a win, its important for people like Shaw, Rahul and our lower order get some batting practice, although the conditions and bowling in OZ wont be comparable to this, it will help build confidence.

Adithya: @Ajit: Vijay still stands a chance with KL being so inconsistent. Also considering the conditions down under, Vijay is a valuable addition to the team who can bring stability to the top order.

Ajit Varma: With the impressive debut of Shaw and rise of Jaddu, Vijay and Hardik might find it difficult to get their names in the squad for Australia tour.

Venki: If Kohli hits a century today(of course he does) , he will surpass Steve Smith to record 24 centuries which is the most for any active player in Test cricket at present.

Harish: India lost both reviews? Reviews are supposed to be reset to 2 every 80 overs right? We used only one after 80th so we should still be having one right? -- No. Under new rules a team only has two reviews for the entire innings. But a review will be retained if it is umpire's call.

NITHIN: Rahane needs to get some big runs under his belt in this series, as he is one of the key players in that middle order, which will boost the morale of himself and also the middle order for the upcoming tour Down Under.

Akil: Why is Windies so reliable on D Bishoo? He has bowled for almost quarter of the day. -- Because he is the lone recognized spinner and been the best bowler after Gabriel.

Vignesh Sridharan: After England tour I can see Kohli restricting some shots, especially his on the rise drive through covers and flick through midwicket which are not easy in swinging conditions. If he continues to do so, it will be helpful for him in scoring big runs in outside Asia conditions on a consistent basis! -- He's not restricted. Still is playing the drive but not as regularly as the ball is stopping and coming.

Abinash Das: Kohli's art of stitching an innings across various formats is commendable. He knows the potential and price of his wicket and also is aware of the fact that the strike rate is just a matter of time.

Shrinidhi: Someone needs to tell Kohli that he has returned from England. Very slow start for his standards.

Sourav Bhatia: Cricket is a funny game. Shaw's impact made Pujara score quick runs, Rahane's impact making Kohli score slowly.

krishna: I do adore Shaw but considering his knock vs Windies at Rajkot for Australian tour isn't enough. As Geoff Boycott used to say "even my Grandma could score double century against this attack in India."

RaviKiran Pilla: With Rahane and Rahul both being highly inconsistent, there are high chances of one getting dropped. Considering the inexperience of Prithvi Shaw and a century in the final test match in England, Rahul have somewhat higher chances to be retained. Rahane has to perform at any cost to retain his place.

Nikhil: Tricky little period here for India as wicket or two could trigger a collapse but I think Kohli and Rahane have been in this position way too many times playing at home and should be able to bat Windies out of the game!

Sudhanshu: All credit to Shaw for grabbing this opportunity in such a way. But it seems a bit unfair to Mayank that he did not get this opportunity. Despite scoring loads of runs in First-class, he was trounced in the pecking order by Shaw. Now Shaw has secured the place at least for some time.

Neel: When Virat came into the light Sachin was in final stages. But that's not the case for Shaw. He has Virat with him and Shaw will be able to watch and learn a lot from him.

Maroof Khatib: Even though Prithvi Shaw is playing exceptionally well, there is a bit of uneasiness in his batting, if he masters to control it, he can do wonders.

Huzefa: Is this an ODI??? The run rate is even higher from the recent Asia cup.

Rishi: Let the Shaw-show continue until a Shaw-stopper rise from the West Indian unit! Deserves more than a ton for this fearless batting on debut.

Sanjeev: We cannot judge with one innings and that too on an Indian pitch with poor bowling attack. I don't think the batting is exceptionally well, I would rather say the bowling is a bit weak. Pujara's strike rate shows us all.

Harsha Bhogle: What a different Test match! Still the same game but unrecognisable from a month ago!

Abhinav: From the looks of it, Shaw does seem a very compact player, comparisons with Dhawan are unnecessary on the scoring rate, because Shaw seems a very good cutter-puller of the ball, which will be very helpful overseas, unlike Dhawan, plus he has played well in Eng, and has age on his side as well.

Prasath: "Is WI bowling very slow or I am getting Cricbuzz commentary slow? I am confused." - It's the over-rates. It's always the over-rates. :P

Prasanth: "CB, what if that water bottle falls down and hits the wicket? Will it be a hit wicket?" - Yep, any part of the gear including helmet, bottle, even handkerchief could land on the stumps and result in a hit wicket.

Vishal: "Why is there black armband on the hands of Windies players?" - They're mourning the death of their teammate Kemar Roach's grandmother.

Keshore: "I still believe, at the top you need one batsman who can hang around and dig deep. And the other batsman can play his shot, look for runs. That's why someone like Murali Vijay is invaluable in this format. Let's hope his county stint helps him in rediscovering his old self." - There's a purist at this end too. He's fabulous, is Vijay. Just needs a few good innings to get back in the business.
