Sachit Srivastava: "It feels so unfair that after the failure of middle order, Jadeja will be on the radar of the team management. He is so much technically sound and confident lately. He is not getting many runs just because he has to play with the tail." - He certainly feels like the least utilised player, but the middle-order has been ordinary this series.

Bob Lee: I saw on live TV that even though it's a stumping appeal, they're checking for a outside edge as well? Feel that's a bit unfair to the batting side for ENG having essentially a "free" review of all dismissals--- well lots of queries regarding the same. Paras: Don't know why people are talking of a draw. India's impossible chance of winning could be more than enforcing a draw. You can't bat out 3 days here. The only possible way out for India is to score at least 450-500 and then have a go at the England batsmen with a target of 100-150.

Deso: India's 2nd innings situation very similar to that of Napier 2009. GG played hell of an innings. Need Rohit or Pujara to hold one end like him. Rohit or Pujara holding fort for 400 odd balls with others playing for minimum of 50 balls would suffice for a draw

Sujit Alagiah: What's heartening to see is that Pujara is getting these brisk runs when there is cloud covers, not when the pitch is baking under sun nor when the batting is easy. This session not only gives assurance for Pujara to continue in next match, it also augurs well for India for entire series.

Jayesh Pethkar: In India's 2003 tour of Australia, Sachin scored 0,1,37,0,44 in the first 3 Tests and was struggling just like Kohli is in the current series. But in the 4th Test, Sachin hit 241* and 60*. The only thing he did different was to not play the cover drive at all. Kohli could try something similar now--- "if you go by that pattern, then Kohli is due for another failure in this innings, which isn't great news Jayesh!

Tajinder: I think in next test match India should play Vihari and Ashwin in place of Jadeja and Ishant. India needs someone who can trouble Root and so far he has not encountered a classy spinner. Also India have not utilized bowling capabilities of Jadeja to the fullest, so a proper batsman should play--- Not many will disagree with that Tajinder

Laxman Viswanath: @CB - Has any team gone on to win the test after conceding 350+ first innings lead? Just curious to know! --- Deepu will be on it in a second Laxman!

Avi: "It seems to be a set-up here. Allowing Pujara to be comfortable with the on drives and flicks and then suddenly the outswinger zipping through"--- could well be, let's wait and watch

Hari Branny: "How many overs, max, can Jimmy Bowl, given he has played 3 continuous Test matches and his fitness? If India can play out him watchfully they have thin line of survival." - The remaining bowlers aren't exactly pushovers either. It's going to need a lot of character and luck for India to get out of this, even with the scoreline untouched.

Ranganath: This is just too one sided at the moment. Need a brilliant catch or a brilliant piece of fielding to manufacture a wicket out of nowhere. Something should happen to improve the body language of Indian fielders.

Zain: England would want to have a lead of 400 or more so that they don't need to bat again even if India could do something like they did in Gabba.

Shubham: I know it's cliche but India needs to be pumped up this session, if they want to come back in the Test match

Abhishek: Around 40 overs left and the Indian bowlers already look out of fuel.

Harsha Bhogle: At the end of the Lord's test, all the problems seemed to reside in the England camp. It has taken a day and a half for the tables to be turned.

Ravindra: This knock of Root is pretty similar to that of his in the 2nd innings of the 1st test match. Very positive, pro-active, scoring at a great pace and putting the bowlers under immense pressure. Looks tough to even beat his bat right now.

Paritosh: "@George: I think India is no where in this match. The best possible result for India is a draw if their middle order finds any form which seems very unlikely."

George: "Root is in the form of his life. Malan is looking stylish. This pair can easily take England past 350 by stumps and completely bat India out of this match."

Ranganath: India have not given many freebies like yesterday to Hameed. They are making him play on the front foot and testing his patience. Will have to see who cracks first !

Harsha Bhogle: Might have got a life on way to 50 but we are starting to see why England were so keen to get Haseeb Hameed back into the side

Aayush kumar: "Root had said that his openers have the temperament to give a good start and they are justifying his words."

Harshal Pakhale: Might need Shami and Bumrah to score a few again today..!!
