Sukhpreet: Today's bowling clearly shows the importance of line and not the pace. I think Umran should be groomed on those lines as pace will fetch wickets very rarely. Players in SENA accommodate pace easily as they are used to it. It also explains the success of Bhuvi in the past 2 matches.
Nitin Tiwari: Harshal Patel's bowling proves bowling is not just about pace. Umran Malik has been poor in all his outings so far.
Ashok: Looks like England will set a good total for India, it would be interesting to see how India approaches the chase.
Ben: "India has enough personnel waiting in the wings. It's about time that India follows the Australia method and avoids all format players. There must be three separate teams for Tests, ODIs and T20 Internationals. If the all format players continue like this, they will be overcooked and jaded."
Anand Vijayashankar: "I think it is time in T20 cricket to start adding player profile/roles to provide more relevance to the stats: like finisher, floater, spin hitter, death over bowler etc."
Anant: "India are not just testing out their bowling bench strength. Rohit is also trying out different combinations in the powerplay to check which player stands where."
Tobin: "Even though it is only the early days of his career, Umran Malik must look to control his economy. He has been quite expensive in all the matches he has played for India."
Kane: "Looks like Umran is going to get a call up above Shami this WC. Like Chakravarthy got over Chahal last season. Giving a cap on the basis of one good IPL is a strategy I don't understand."
Harsh Mogra: "Why does it happen so often that in England there is bright sun out in white ball cricket and gloomy skies in red ball cricket!" -- Tells you what the Gods want to watch as well!
Gaurav Sharma: "Nice to see the changes to check the bench strength. But Deepak Hooda also should have been included in place of Pant to as he going through good form, it would have increased his confidence more."
Adarsh: "When there is no more than 15 matches to the World Cup, I think India should have played their best 11 and give them more match time playing together as a team. Playing together will allow the players to combine their strengths and come out even better."
Harsha Bhogle: Very interesting selection. Big test for India's young bowlers on one of the highest scoring grounds in the world. And with just 5 bowling options, there is no place to hide. Looking forward to seeing Umran, Avesh and Bishnoi.
