Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders, 41st Match, Indian Premier League 2022 - CommentaryDC vs KKR, 41st Match, Indian Premier League 2022 - Commentary
Manohar Babu: KKR management surely deserves appreciation for Umesh's resurgence, they've used him according to his strengths, rather than asking him to come out of comfort zone and deal with the tough overs.
Sree: How costly the poor decision of Pant not to bowl Kuldeep and Chetan gonna be?? Those extra runs kept KKR in the game..And impressive move by Shreyas to continue with Umesh
Subhashree Panda: Umesh Yadav is like a breath of fresh air in the KKR Camp.
Randhir Kumar: "When one over of Kuldeep is left, I'm confused to understand why Pant has gone with Lalit Yadav. And DC has paid the price for the wrong decision."
Vishwas: "There was no need to bowl Lalit Yadav for the 17th over. Kuldeep had 1 left, Fizz had 2 left, and Sakarya had 1 left. These are the little things Rishabh Pant needs to learn."
Pranshu: "The problem with KKR is them having too many options with bat, no one knows their exact batting positions & no one's there to anchor the innings. Every batter just tries to hit the ball out of the park!"
Nilesh Deokar: This season we have seen some great 'paybacks' by players against their former franchises. Rashid's blitz against SRH yesterday, Kuldeep's 4-for against KKR the previous game, and 2 wickets in one over today. This must be a different feeling entirely for them!
Revanth: Kuldeep has changed. He is putting a lot of body into his action now. Which was a major complaint against him before he was dropped from the KKR team and Indian team. Props for him to have put in the effort to correct and comeback.
Shivam: KKR isn't utilizing Nitish Rana, the opener. Baring his alternate ducks he has opened well for KKR. He isn't someone who can attack from ball 1. Having him to anchor with Finch/Iyer playing their natural attacking game would prove to be pivotal for KKR.
Neeraj Sahu: The fact that Venky Iyer played a pivotal role in KKR's journey to the final and has played for India as well, does not take away another fact that he's very young in terms of experience. He has not played even 20 games in the IPL. He will learn from this and come out stronger.
RaviPrathap Reddy: DC should have tried to accommodate Nortje somehow in the squad. DC is still struggling to pick wickets in the powerplay and with Khaleel not playing, Nortje's express pace could have been really effective.
Deep: Unsettling to see that KKR still haven't been able to come together as a unit 9 games into the tournament. That is not how you win games and certainly not how you win tournaments
Srinath: Venky Iyer's flurry of runs was a huge factor in KKR's rise last year. And his drought of runs is again a huge factor in KKR's fall this year.
Sarth Shah: It's baffling how well Finch has done for Australia even after having such a big weakness especially being an opener.
Prathamesh Sawant: Is Baba Indrajith a full-time wicket-keeper for his state or have KKR asked him to wicket-keeping specially as both Jackson & Billings haven't performed? 'He has kept wickets for Tamil Nadu at times'
Himanshu: Unless it's something to do with injury, Khaleel Ahmed must not be dropped. Barring a few overs, he has truly been exceptional this season. 'Pant did mention he pulled his hamstring during the last match'
Jinosh: God to see that talented Sakariya gets the chance
Paras: I think Delhi is missing a trick here by not playing Yash Dhull or KS Bharat to bolster their middle order. As we've seen the trend this IPL that youngsters like Badoni, Tilak Varma, Dewald Brewis are proving to be X-factors for their teams.
Mustafa Moudi: With DC getting affected with COVID, it is great that they got this 6 day break which helped them to come out of their respective quarantines. Will Ponting be accompanying DC today?? -- "He is out there having conversations with Rishabh Pant."
