Interestingly, this is the first time in his career he has dismissed a batsman for a 'Pair'. Anderson emulated Bill O'Reilly (vs NZ, Wellington, 1946), Jim Laker (vs Aus, Manchester, 1956) and Dale Steyn (vs NZ, Centurion, 2007) while doing so.

Among all bowlers, only Muralitharan (105 wickets) has taken more against India in Test cricket. The next most for England bowlers are 62 each for Derek Underwood and Bob Willis in 20 and 17 Tests respectively.

5 Chris Woakes became the fifth player to achieve the triple feat of scoring a century, taking a five-fer and taking ten wickets in a Test at Lord's after Gubby Allen, Keith Miller, Ian Botham and Stuart Broad. The unbeaten 137 in the first innings was his maiden century in Test cricket in addition to his 6/70 and 5/32 (match figures of 11/102) against Pakistan two seasons ago at the same venue.

His second innings score of 33* is the second highest for an Indian batsman in this series apart from Virat Kohli who scored 149 and 51 in Edgbaston last week.
