India's monumental win

270 runs - India's victory margin is the fourth-largest in terms of runs in women's Tests. Their 347-run win in their last meeting against England at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai in December 2023 tops this list.

This was India's fourth Test win at Lord's, after the Men's team had won previously in 1986, 2014 and 2021, under Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli respectively.

Biggest wins in Women's Tests (by runs)

626runs totalled by India across the two team innings (285 and 341/7d) made it their second-highest Test match aggregate ever, only behind 640 (603/6d and 37/0) in their 10-wicket win over South Africa in Chennai two years ago.

This was also the second time India Women went past 300 in their second innings; they'd scored 344/8 in 121 overs while following on against the same opponent at Bristol in 2021.

Kranti, Yastika on honours board, Mandhana stars in her milestone game

5/37 by Kranti Gaud was just the fifth five-for by an Indian seamer in women's Tests, after three for Jhulan Goswami and one for Gargi Banerjee. She finished the match with combined returns of 7/91, the third-best for an India seamer after Jhulan's 10/78 against the same opponent in Taunton in 2006 and Shashi Gupta's 8/100 against Australia in Lucknow in 1984.

113 - Yastika Bhatia became the first India batter to register a hundred in the third or fourth innings of a women's Test, surpassing Sandhya Agarwal's 98 against New Zealand in Lucknow in 1985.

She also became the second Indian to register a hundred as a designated wicketkeeper in women's Tests, after Anju Jain (110 vs ENG-W, Kolkata, 1995). The only other Indian left-hander with a Test match hundred at Lord's (Men's or Women's) is Sourav Ganguly, who scored 131 on debut back in 1996.

300 - This was Smirti Mandhana's 300th international game. She became the 12th women's cricketer to get there, third for India after Mithali Raj (333) and Harmanpreet Kaur (374). Mandhana, who turns 30 later this week (July 18), is the youngest women's cricketer to play in 300 internationals; South Africa's Sune Luus did that aged 30y 163d during the recent Women's T20 World Cup 2026.

788runs for Mandhana in Tests, the second-most for India Women in Tests after Sandhya Agarwal's 1110. Shantha Rangaswamy (750), Shubhangi Kulkarni (700) and Mithali Raj (699) round off the top five. Mandhana currently has 10737 runs across formats - the third most - and is not far away from reaching the top, with only Suzie Bates (10740) and Mithali Raj (10868) ahead of her.

4 -With scores of 83 and 70 in the Test, Mandhana became the fourth Indian with 50-plus scores in both innings of a women's Test, after Sandhya Agarwal (134 and 83 vs AUS-W, Wankhede, 1984), Gargi Banerjee (60 and 75 vs ENG, Blackpool, 1986) and Shafali Verma (96 and 63 vs ENG, Bristol, 2021).

Mandhana now has seven 50-plus scores in Tests, the joint second-most for India alongside Shantha Rangaswamy and only one less than Sandhya Agarwal's eight. This was Mandhana's 92nd 50-plus score in Women's internationals, only second to Mithali Raj's 93.

Ecclestone, Jones stand out for England

4 - Sophie Ecclestone's 5/118 in the second innings was her fourth five-wicket haul in Tests, the joint second-most in the format, alongside as many for New Zealand's Jackie Lord and Australia's Betty Wilson. Mary Duggan (England) and Shubhangi Kulkarni (India) hold the record currently, with five each.

343 wickets for Ecclestone across formats, the third-most in Women's internationals in a list headed by Deepti Sharma (359), followed by Jhulan Goswami (355). Ecclestone went past Katherine Sciver-Brunt (335) and Ellyse Perry (336) during her first innings effort of 3/68.

2 - Ecclestone shone with the bat as well. She became the second player to register a 50-plus score while batting at No.8 or lower in the fourth innings of a women's Test, after India's Amita Sharma, who too, scored exactly 50 against England in Leicester in 2006.

1 -Amy Jones became the first designated wicketkeeper with 50-plus scores in both innings of a women's Test. She was the only England batter to get past 50 in the match, top-scoring with 52 and 54 respectively in the two innings.

She became the second to achieve this feat while batting from No.6 or lower, after Australia's Jess Jonassen, who scored 99 and 54 against England at Canterbury in 2015.

2 -Jones is also the second wicketkeeper to top score for her team in both innings of a women's Test. The first was India's Fowzieh Khalili, who scored 84 and 41* in the drawn Test against the West Indies Women in Lucknow in November 1976.

231runs aggregated by the designated wicketkeepers in the match, the highest in a women's Test, surpassing 207 during the New Zealand against England Test in Christchurch in 1935. 189 of those were scored by England's Betty Snowball, the only 150-plus score by a wicketkeeper in the format.
