Aged 39 years & 80 days, Rohit Sharma is the oldest to score an ODI century at Lord's and the oldest for India across all formats eclipsing Rahul Dravid's knock in 2011 when he was 38. He is also the first Indian batter to score an ODI century at this venue surpassing the previous highest of 90 by Sourav Ganguly in 2004.

Joe Root surges ahead

6 Root became the first England batter to register 50+ scores in six consecutive innings in ODIs having crossed 50 in each of the six ODIs he batted in 2026. Root became the second batter to hit 50+ scores in each of his first six innings in a calendar year after Imam-ul-Haq, who achieved the feat back in 2022.

It is the most by an England batter between two dismissals eclipsing his own record of 309 in 2018 (113*, 100*, 25*, 71). 249 runs by Root this series is the most by a batter without getting dismissed in a bilateral series of any length surpassing Jos Buttler who hit 248 across two innings in Netherlands in 2022.

Lord's witness new heights
