Livingstone | Player of the Match: A little disappointed. I thought it was a really good game of cricket, to be honest. A pretty good cricket wicket. Yeah, just a shame we fell short. (You decided to bowl yourself 20 of the last 25 balls. At what stage was that a plan?) It was never a plan. Because the left-hander came in, I thought I'd just try and get a couple of dot balls on him early. And then, yeah, it came out nicely. So I thought, whatever was working, stick with that. And it looked quite hard to hit, to be honest. So, yeah, just stuck with it. (You had to grind it out for a little bit there?) Yeah, it was. It was obviously a little bit up and down, the wicket. But, yeah, it was one of them pitches where I think they were probably about par. But we just probably got ourselves too far behind the run rate to catch up at the end. So, yeah, like I said, a little bit disappointed and a little bit rusty and hopefully we'll come on for this. (What positives do you take out of it?) Obviously we bowled some really good stuff through the middle, dragged them back really well towards the end. And we nearly chased it down. The stats don't necessarily favour chasing here at Lord's. So, yeah, it's a pretty decent start and hopefully we can build on this.
21:25 Local Time, 20:25 GMT, 01:55 IST: Despite Livingstone's best efforts, Super Giants have prevailed in the end as they win by 7 runs. He was dropped early on by Seifert and went on to play a superb knock on a pitch where most batters struggled. It was just him, and Seifert for Super Giants, who led the way with 60-plus scores. Single-handed efforts from both of them with the bat for their respective teams. Livingstone was brilliant with the ball too, and it was very evident how the pitch was offering a fair amount of grip and turn. Along with that, it was also two-paced with variable bounce. So basically every aspect was challenged as a batter. Got very close in the end but Atkinson and Baker closed it out well. Liam Dawson was brilliant too.
