PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Harsha Bhogle: Ok, so there are silly people everywhere. But we need to get a move on. Security just watching people throw bottles. Doing nothing.

Harsha Bhogle: Once again the definition of calm. Dhoni walks into a tense situation and defuses it.

Harsha Bhogle: Meanwhile a century of great brilliance from Rohit Sharma. Been great to watch

Nevin Clinton: I know it's too early to say but I feel Rahul is a misfit at No. 4. He should either be made an opener or he must make way for Rahane or Manish in the next game.
Harsha Bhogle: This is the Sri Lanka their fans have waited to see. And we have seen in the past. And it is the bowlers leading the way.

Hari: With a low score on board why don't Sri Lanka introduce Akila Dananjaya now and pick some wickets. We saw how he troubled Indians in the previous ODI. -- Kapugedera has heard you.
Lokesh: Lowest powerplay score for India in the series so far. In first 2 ODIs score was 60+ -- Because Sri Lanka have shown more intent and bowled better.
Siril Raju: Nobody noticed that Vishwa Fernando has got his first scalp in ODI cricket and that too a big fish. Quite a memorable one. -- Well pointed out.
Harsha Bhogle: Good to see some fire from Sri Lanka. They know that early wickets will be the key.

Keshore: Am I the only one who thinks Chameera has to be given a crack with the new ball. Malinga can curve the ball away from the right hander but just doesn't have enough pace. Chameera on the other hand is a skiddy customer. Thoughts? -- Yes. But not at the expense of Malinga. He might have lost a bit of pace, but still can trouble the batsmen.
Pratik Jana: Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat but sadly only one batsman (Thirimanne) could actually bat and he got out to best bowler of the day Bumrah.
Harsha Bhogle: Really, salvage time now for Sri Lanka. Look for 230 now, I guess.

RADHAKRISHNAN: What will be the changes in rankings if India whitewashes Sri Lanka?? -- India are most likely to jump one place to second behind South Africa. Sri Lanka will retain their 8th spot.
Harsha Bhogle: Another Sri Lankan top order batsman uses the DRS toy given to him. It is no longer about believing the umpire may have got him wrong.

Jay: Is the pitch too slow or the fear of collapse playing on SL mind? -- There is a bit more grass cover on the pitch than Thursday. It's definitely not that slow. A combination of disciplined bowling from India and conservative approach from Sri Lanka.
Amit: If Chandimal is in pain shouldn't he take the chance and try to up the ante? -- He just tried that and perished.
rehman: Then why not Kuldeep be given chance ahead of Axar. He can extract even more bounce from pitch??? -- Because India are tying all possible combinations and Kuldeep was tried in West Indies.
Ansuman: Why Chahal more preferred than Axar ? -- Because a wrist spinner extracts more from the surface than a finger spinner.
Suraj: Shouldn't India be giving more opportunities to Manish Pandey and Kuldeep Yadav? They've recently done so well in their respective matches. -- Their chance will come at some point in the series.
Harsha Bhogle: Didn't think that Chandimal & Thirimanne would have to make a comeback. Thought they would be in all along.

Harsha Bhogle: The first spell today from Jasprit Bumrah is as good as any I have seen from him.

Rahul: I can't believe how loyal Sri Lankan fans are. Still supporting their team despite the recent losses. Great to see. -- What is a team without its fans!
Bikram Kunwar: How about using "R" sign for review..... Just kidding, would be interesting though -- How do you signal "R" with your hands though?
Dheeraj: So Rohit looks 100% fit now, at least after that catch ?? -- There were no worries about his hands/fingers. It was his running that looked troublesome in the earlier games.
Aniket: Then why is impact outside off judged not out? -- Impact outside off can be given out, if a batsman is not offering a shot. But when a batsman has made an attempt to play a shot and still been struck, then the bowler can't do much.
Shivam Rajput: Why there is a "T" sign for review?? Can't we have a better one? -- Well, signalling "T" with forehands is as per the ICC rules. What better signal can be used?
sai krishna: Why pitched outside leg is not considered as out? -- Because it is easy for a bowler to hit the batsman's pad by pitching it outside leg-stump. Moreover, bowling outside off-stump allows the batsman it use his bat first than the leg.
shalin: Was there any role of MS in that DRS decision of India? -- Not really. It was all Bumrah. He convinced Kohli to go for the review.
