PLAYER OF THE MATCH
PLAYER OF THE SERIES
Jayshankar Naik: For the first time in this series, I see some intent from the SA's top order. Throughout the series, it's their lower order which contributed more to their scorecard!!!
Saurabh: I have a very strong feeling that Faf is going to show why he has been a great servant of the game for South Africa. Maybe for the last time, but he will. The last time I had such an intuition, Babar Azam scored a coming-of-age 97 at Adelaide.
Rakesh: "Why QDK is not coming 1st down or 2nd down, as he is in form?" - It's the irony of cricket, isn't it? Protect your best batsman from the new ball. A more transparent manifestation of the injustice is the concept of nightwatchmen.
Aadit: "Very important for SA to break this partnership at the earliest, as this partnership is what laid the foundation for a good total in the first innings, and SA definitely don't want that again."
Patrik: If SA do have to follow on, might as well send QDK to open so that he can carry on his momentum from this innings and give SA a good start.
Anirudh: I honestly think SA should give more chances to Qdk to open in test matches. That one match against India isn't enough
Abhirath: Great to see the intent from both Broad and Wood. A nice role-reversal of what Keshav Maharaj and Paterson did for England in the last match.
Syed Nameer: When you are bowling to England, you just cannot relax after taking 4-5 wickets. This is a lesson to all oppositions.
Sowmya: It's time for butler and woakes to show what they are capable of...if they can get to any score above 370, it will be a huge bonus for Eng. And for SA all they need to do is..don't lose the momentum to be in the game.
Kumar: Root: 50 and out. Again. Even with a dropped chance, he could not punish South Africa. That's the difference between him and Kohli/Williamson/Smith.
Rahul Sargam: Nortje is kinda Umesh Yadav, always a bit expensive, has a good pace, takes wickets unexpectedly, fit and strong and can bat a bit as well.
