PLAYER OF THE MATCH
PLAYER OF THE SERIES
Shubham: Even after giving 16 runs in his 2nd over, Chahal finishes with 1/26. That's very impressive !!
Dushyant Uppal: The way Ishan Kishan is fielding in the outfield, he won't get the chance to keep wickets anytime soon.
bvk: Very brave from Rohit. I didn't expected Chahal would bowl to Guptill again after his second over.
Archit: When the pitch is providing help, Axar becomes very lethal. We saw it in the Ahmedabad Tests as well.
PM: This is not a traditional Eden wicket with seam and true nature. It looks to be slightly tacky where left arm spinners like Axar and Santner have troubled the batsmen with their impeccable accuracy.
Nikhil: Axar is doing Santner here! And what a smart move by Rohit!
Jotendra Kumar: New Zealand have good batsmen who can test out bowlers. This will be a good exposure for our new bowlers. We should not fear losing some bilateral game as exposure and experience is important to win ICC championships.
Vedant: Was a bit funny to see Harshal Patel get out the way he did. Was batting pretty well!
Naddy: First two Iyers and now two Patels rebuilding the inning
Rajdeep: No real consistency from Surya either. Plays one big knock to start the series and fizzles out later.
Dhruv: This is why Virat Kohli is needed in that Indian middle order
Arnie Salunke: Where are the Indian batters who used to milk spinners for singles at will?
Harsh: We are seeing this Rohit more often lately. Gets going from the word go, unlike his natural instinct to be watchful upfront.
Ajay: It has always been a drawback that Team India doesn't prefer strike rotation over boundaries especially in the T20Is. In the first three overs there is not even a single time the strike has been rotated. I hope it changes.
Aakash: Good decision by India to bat first and test themselves as a team
Himanshu: India should look at Venky Iyer as a backup for Pandya and not another top order batsman. With due respect to his capabilities, India already has one of the world's finest top orders. It only needs someone to complement Pant down the order with the finishing task and someone who can bowl a few overs.
