Punjab Kings

Sunrisers Hyderabad

PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Sachin Raghul: Aiden Markram has been a good anchor in the middle order for SRH this season. Earlier it was only Williamson who played the floater role, now having Markram in XI has been handy for SRH.
Srikar: If SRH figure out a finisher, they are a championship contender team.
Manikanta Somayaji: SRH must be smart to target an over from 5th bowler that still remains.
Neeraj Sahu: These two have played Rahul Chahar with maturity. Rotated strike well and didn't give him wickets.
Saurabh: Two ex-PBKS players Markram and Pooran on the crease together against their former team. The way things have panned out this season, backing both of them to see SRH home in the run chase.
Abhi: In all the previous seasons, SRH mostly wanted to bat first and then defend whatever total it is with their bowling prowess. This time they are doing it exactly in the opposite way and still yielding the same results.
manyac: What people really underestimate is that Markram is second in T20I batting rankings. Can easily demolish any bowling attack and cause real damage if not paid proper heed.
Esskayy: I think it’s time for Punjab to think about replacing Odean with Sandeep or Rishi. He hasn’t been very successful with bat or ball with just 1 good innings
Hardik Mehta: Rahul Tripathi becomes the highest scoring uncapped player. I believe this is not a proud moment, it is rather a shame that such a talented player has not got a chance to play in the Indian team yet.
Karan Mishra: This pitch looks sticky and holding the ball upfront, remember it's a day game and might as well continue to slow down. If PBKS can get Tripathi and Markram cheaply, it's game on
Tushar: Given that SRH openers start slow in the Powerplay, it shouldn't be a bad idea for opposition teams to sneak in a couple of overs from their fifth bowler during the first 6 overs. 'That's always loaded with risk'
Mustafa Moudi: Off-Topic Question: Hyderabad started as DC and Later became SRH while Mohali Started as KXIP and later went on to become PBKS. Then why is SRH records are counted separately from Deccan Chargers while KXIP and PBKS records are counted in continuation? Just because of change in owners? 'Yes, change in ownership patterns'
Harsha Bhogle: Interestingly Punjab Kings have the lowest strike rate in the last 5 overs. They go so hard at the top that they sometimes run out of power hitters. But most days they are scoring as many as they need, only they are distributing the runs differently

Manikanta Somayaji: Having come at the 5th over, Livingstone just facing 33 balls has hurt Punjab badly.
Harsha Bhogle: Enjoying watching Liam Livingstone bat. Such a range.
Harsha Bhogle: Enjoying watching Liam Livingstone bat. Such a range.
Abhishek: Shahrukh batting at a strike rate below 100 in the last 5 overs is a crime! He really hasn't unleashed like last season
Vidya: While Umran is taking all the limelight with his lightening speed.. Marco Jansen has been so good with the ball.. containing runs and picking wickets regularly. Exceptional
CK: Just what the doctor ordered for Punjab...A stable partnership that is scoring at a good rate...They look good for a score of 165 or above
Jinx: Ideally, Livingstone is a finisher who should be unleashed in the last 6-7 overs for total domination, but this fragile PBKS lineup is using him not to his best use, he's having to anchor and then finish at the end as well. 'He's doing well though'
Sravan: Hoping to see a responsible innings here from Livingstone
Prabhkaran Singh: Nobody is talking about Jitesh Sharma who has performed brilliantly and has shown some solid technique as well. Everyone is talking about Tilak Verma and Baby AB but Jitesh is as good as any other talented bloke and definitely a player to watch out for.
Shaurya Chhabra: Expect Punjab's top order to play a bit more responsibly today in the absence of Agarwal
Abhay: Feels like PBKS have a missed a trick today by not sending Bairstow to open as that is where we see the best of his abilities.
Arjun: WOW! Kane Williamson really is having a very high toss win percentage. He won all the six tosses this season!
