Sarth Shah: Rotating the strike (even on the good balls) is a very big factor in ODIs. Modern-day cricketers should look to focus on this more and more.

Priyanshu Poddar: How often have we seen this with Ruturaj. Apparently not among the swiftest of starters, generally tends to be scratchy at the start. So much so that one starts doubting his place in the side and suddenly out of nowhere he produces an innings of the highest class. Hope he does the same today.

Arihant: There is a big difference between performing in IPL and international cricket. It seems we pick the team based on one IPL season and even if someone plays well in internationals but perform bad in IPL, we drop him (Venky Iyer, Kuldeep, etc). IPL should never be the criteria for any sides be it T-20 or any other format.

Akash Jain: India will have the same selection dilemma before the 2023 ODI World Cup. Too many players have been considered on the basis of short-term performances with no proven consistencies.

Faisal: Disagree with Hrushikesh Bompilwar comment on improved player from player. For me its Kuldeep. He redeemed himself to the newer version.

Hrushikesh Bompilwar: David Miller is arguably the most improved player ever since this year's IPL.

Sagar: Instead of Avesh Khan, we should have selected Mukesh Kumar, since he is in form and the new talent must be brought forward who has played in domestic cricket with lots of skills not just in IPL.

Saket: Why isn't anyone thinking or talking about Shardul Thakur as a replacement for Bumrah. He can bowl in poweplay, middle overs and death overs as well. We all have seen his performance in Australia. Unlike Deepak and Shami who have lesser variations at the end of innings.

Ayush: Are South Africa preserving Anrich Nortje by not playing him? He would have been handy in the match today considering the conditions.

Rohit: How is the weather doing now ? Will we the match get completed? -- It's very gloomy and the floodlights have been on for the entire duration so far. If the weather reports are to be believed, we should not have any further interruptions. For the next 4 hours at least.

Ritesh: Kuldeep Yadav's spin against Markram reminds me the bowling against the Babar (Pak) in 2019 WC. He too was bowled in the same fashion I believe.

Prasoon Jain: Do not see any reason to not choose Shami in place of Bumrah. Experience matters

Shanmukh: @Abinash Das Totally agree with you. Also, with talent pool we have, I expect them to dominate everywhere like Aus did in Ponting's era. But somehow we didn't get to see it yet.

Abinash Das: Team India, with its diverse talent pool and an established system at the grassroots level, must reach such a level where we can have a like-per-like replacement for most players.

Rajat: Was really looking forward for Rahul Tripathi in the squad.

Mustafa Moudi: Fun Fact: All the 6 batsmen of Indian side have opened in IPL (including Iyer). This means that the team has NO FINISHERs at all, even if you count Iyer and Samson as middle-order batsmen. What's more interesting is the fact that both the overlooked batsmen - Tripathi and Patidar are openers too!!

Rohil: Team can't risk selecting Deepak Chahar as Bhuvi is already in the squad (two similar bowlers). Have to choose someone with more pace and hit the deck hard capabilities. Could be either of Shami, Siraj, or even Umran for that matter.

sthaVIRAT: These three matches are the best opportunity for Deepak Chahar and Mohd. Siraj to impress the selectors.

Vishal Kothari: There is no perfect replacement for Bumrah...but Deepak Chahar maybe the best option as of now... due to his form and also added batting advantage

sahil: Mohammed Shami can be ideal or like to like replacement for Bumrah as both can hit the deck hard and Shami also edges other bowlers in experience.

Karn: Mohammed Shami. Can't even think of anyone else. Yes, we don't know if he is in form or not, but who else is in form? Indian bowling line up is weak and looks rusty. The experience of Shami can help.
